Dorchester Square Fountain is a famous landmark in the center of Montreal. From one view, it looks like a traditional Victorian fountain but when viewed from the side or back, you can see that it’s flat on one side, as if a piece were sliced off. With a statue of a pileated woodpecker adorning the flat side, this fountain is part traditional, part whimsical. The architectural fountain was part of a renovation project that received over 9.2 million dollars in investments. Dorchester Square Fountain is distinct patina-green and stands 11 meters high. Each semi-circle dish becomes bigger from top to bottom. Soucy Aquatik contributed to all stages of the fountain design and construction to bring life to Dorchester Square and showcase the beauty of water.
