Square Phillips is in one of Montreal’s most popular shopping areas. The water fountain’s construction was originally completed in 1842. At the top of the monument is a statue of Edward VII, the United Kingdom’s former king.
After undergoing extensive renovation from 2020 to 2022, the architectural fountain has recently received an impressive expansion. Square Phillips’ main highlight remains its seven elegant fountain streams on the lush lawn. However, several additions have been introduced to enhance this square further, including additional benches for comfortable seating, a captivating granite cobblestone design, and an array of diverse trees and plants. The new LED ambient lighting also makes this fountain stand out at night.
