Architectural Fountain in Ontario
Rideau Hall in Ottawa has been home to all Governor Generals since 1867. In 2017, Rideau Hall restored one of its most popular attractions, the Fountain of Hope. The fountain is dedicated to Terry Fox, a Canadian athlete and amputee who ran across Canada to raise money for cancer research. The large and striking fountain construction has 70 brass jets arranged in a perfect circle, complementing the architecture of Rideau Hall and its gardens. The outdoor fountain construction is flush with the ground, so it can easily be turned off and used for social gatherings.
