Architectural Fountain in Quebec
Quai Paquet’s architectural water fountain is a popular attraction for locals and tourists alike. This impressive fountain, located on the banks of the St. Lawrence River, is the most powerful of its kind in Canada. The fountain construction is impressive with its 100-meter length and multitude of jets. It is comprised of 160 variable-speed jets and can shoot up to nine meters high. With 176 RGB LEDs, it lights up the square at night. A water-level regulator and wind gauge help take local climate conditions into consideration when operating the fountain. There is a recirculating water basin at each end of the fountain. The fountain takes up a total of 2,400 square meters, requiring 10km-long pipes.
