Hot Tubs and Nordic Baths in Quebec

Förena Spa in Quebec combines thermotherapy techniques from Germany, Iceland, and Russia. Thermotherapy and relaxation are done in three stages to affect the body. Thermotherapy uses heat packs, hot tubs, and other methods for increasing the body’s tissue temperature. Increasing the temperature of tissue can increase the blood flow that helps heal injured body tissue. Förena Spa is on track to being one of the biggest thermotherapy centers in North America. Soucy Aquatik worked on the structural and mechanical parts of the hot and cold pools. This provides an immersive experience along with the other services that Förena Spa provides to guests.

‘’Soucy Aquatik delivered a project of exceptional quality under difficult conditions. The project ended late fall of 2019 and the start-up of the pools took place in mid-December. Given an ambient temperature of around -25 degrees Celsius and without functional permanent heating, Soucy Aquatik had to create and install a temporary heating system in order to fill and operate the pools for the date requested.

 

Also, thanks to their expertise; Soucy Aquatik was able to propose a feasible sequence of work and successfully delivered the project within the time announced.

 

In addition, the formwork was a challenge; Soucy Aquatik performed significant coordination with the landscaping team to integrate stones into their formwork, which contained several complex curved details.
