Architectural Fountain in Quebec
Located on the banks of the St. Lawrence River, Promenade Samuel-De Champlain is an exemplary water fountain construction project that enhances riverfront heritage while providing ample public access to the water.
Stations along the docks recreate the appearance of the river at sunrise with four trenches and 1,400 fog nozzles dispensing a swirl of tiny water droplets that evaporate into a fine cloud of refreshing mist. In addition to the architectural fountain’s misters, 83 in-ground jets with simplistic white light effects have been installed on five slabs.
The outdoor water fountain construction received an award for using bold, geometrical elements like linear paths and square benches.
